Advocate Vadim Klyuvgant has become partner of the attorneys at law Pen & Paper

Advocate Vadim Klyuvgant joined attorneys at law Pen & Paper as a partner, head of the Moscow office criminal-legal practice and co-head of the criminal-legal service of the Bar. He is widely-known as an advocate of the heads of the company "YUKOS" Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev, defense of the academician of the RAS RF Yury Pivovarov.

Klyuvgant is also known for his active work as a Vice-President and a member of the Council of the Chamber of Advocates of Moscow, and also as a Deputy Chairperson of the Commission of the Council of the FCA RF on defense of rights of advocates.

The advocate graduated from the Sverdlovsk Institute of Law with the highest honours, after that he worked as an investigator in the police for more than 10 years. He was elected a people's deputy of the RSFSR (RF), was a member of the Supreme Council of the RF, a member of the Constitutional Commission of the RF, participated in the Constitutional Meeting of the RF. Besides, his work record contains work as a mayor of the town of Magnitogorsk, Senior Vice-President for inner-corporate issues of the oil company "Sidanko", Vice-President of the OJSC "Tyumen Oil Company".

Klyuvgant's main specialization areas are criminal law and criminal proceedings; legal regulation of entrepreneurial and other economic activities; constitutional and state law; human rights and basic freedoms protection; legislation on advocatory activity and advocacy, professional advocate's ethics.

In Pen & Paper he carries out especially complicated and high profile cases many of which have a substantial international element. At present, the advocate defends interests of an entrepreneur and co-owner of "Ulmart" Dmitry Kostygin.
